We hope you will find FID a stimulating site where religious and spiritual questions of all types can be addressed and discussed openly, fairly, and with the benefit of insights that come through the non-competitive examination of cross-cultural parallels that can open minds and hearts to a richer experience of their own spirituality.

We hope to include not only an exploration of scriptural themes and texts, but of current events informed by the religious beliefs and interpretations (and misinterpretations) of the participants in those events. Religion and belief are integral and foundational elements of all human society- and are an important measure of civilization.

FID hopes to address the creative tension between belief and experience, and the cultural conditioning that can shape and limit them both, perhaps blinding us to underlying truths. We support moving beyond superficial differences to a deeper understanding. We encourage your comments and feedback and support.
